In the fourth quarter of 2023, Sensor Tower tracked the performance of the top five dance game applications on the iOS platform, offering a glimpse into the dynamic market of mobile gaming.
Just Dance Now, published by Ubisoft, saw its revenue peaking at nearly $1K in the last week of December, with a noticeable upward trend from the start of the quarter. Downloads skyrocketed to over 4K in the same week, while weekly active users danced their way to almost 5K, marking an impressive end-of-year surge.
Coco Play's Ice Skating Ballerina glided through the quarter with a fluctuating number of downloads, reaching a high of nearly 500 in the last week of December. Active users doubled from the beginning to the end of the quarter, suggesting a growing interest even though revenue figures remained negligible.
Another Coco Play title, Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop, experienced modest download numbers that eventually climbed to over 250 by December's end. The app's weekly active users also showed a positive trajectory, increasing to over 400 in the same period.
The company's Acrobat Star Show followed a similar pattern, with downloads more than tripling to over 300 in the final week of Q4. The weekly active user count also reflected a rising trend, nearly tripling by the conclusion of the quarter.
Last but not least, Hip Hop Battle - Girls vs Boys maintained a steady flow of downloads and active users throughout the quarter, with a slight uptick in both metrics as the holiday season approached.
